Set in Sydney’s picturesque lower north shore community of Mosman, the Mini-Mos plays host to more than 2,000 runners each year. The 10km run, the Mini-Mos’ premier event, is considered one of Australia’s toughest courses with an undulating profile challenging runners of all capabilities from the novice to the world class athlete.

The Mini-Mos attracts runners of all shapes, sizes and capabilities; from the one-race-per-year punter to some of Australia’s best world class level runners, including World Champions, Olympians and Commonwealth Games medal winners.

The Mini-Mos was established and continues to serve as a fundraising event for one of Mosman’s public schools as well as designated charities within the community. This year, the Mini-Mos will be helping raise funds for two charitable organisations: The Starlight Children’s Foundation and Giant Steps (an innovative school for children who have spectrum autism).

Mel & Mark's Big Run
Creator   Melissa Luxford
Close at  Wednesday, 2 September 2009

Hello!

As part of my reformed smoker life, I made a pact with Mark that I would run 10km....so here it is.

We are raising money for the Starlight Foundation and appreciate any donations - no matter how small.

Wish us luck!

    Starlight Children's Foundation

Since 1988, Starlight has brightened the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children, and their families. Living with illness or injury can cause enormous strain in the lives of children and their families. Starlight delivers innovative programs designed to make children happy and lift their spirits when they need it most. Starlight brings fun and laughter to children no matter what their illness or where they live. Each year there are over 600,000 child admissions made to hospitals across Australia. Today, Starlight can only reach ‘1 in 3’ of these children. Our ultimate goal is to enable each and every child to have access to Starlight programs.
